Hello! My name is Hester. I’m a vintage costume jewellery specialist and writer, based in Balmain, Sydney. Thank you for visiting!

Why Vintage Costume Jewellery?  Following a family background in the antiques trade and a professional background in marketing and advertising, I decided to follow a lifelong dream and start a sustainable jewellery and accessories business. Shopping sustainably is the way forward and we need to do all we can, to preserve our planet. The history of Vintage Jewellery is also fascinating. Given the economic challenges of the Great Depression and World War II, high end jewellers were asked to design collections of jewellery, with semi-precious materials. These collections have stood the test of time and are now considered highly collectable.

Where do I source from? All over the world. After spending a decade living in London and New York, I have global contacts I speak with often.
