This original late-1970s Trifari necklace is a sculptural statement designed to sit with intention at the collarbone. The sweeping gilt form, finished with soft cream enamel, creates contrast and movement without excess—distinctive, balanced, and unmistakably Trifari.

Rather than a simple chain, this piece centres the neckline. The enamelled motif draws the eye, giving structure to even the simplest outfit while remaining elegant and wearable. It’s the kind of necklace that replaces layering—designed to be worn alone, and noticed.

A strong example of Trifari’s late-century design language: confident, modern, and built around form rather than ornament.

  • Era: Late 1970s – early 1980s

  • Designer: Signed Trifari

  • Materials: Gold-tone gilt metal with cream enamel

  • Size: 44.5cm in length; central motif measures up to 2¼cm wide

  • Fit: Sits neatly at the collarbone

  • Condition: Good vintage condition, with light age-consistent wear

Trifari enamel pieces from this period are increasingly sought after for their sculptural quality and enduring wearability. Designs like this—original, signed, and well-proportioned—are becoming harder to source in clean condition.

This is not an everyday chain, but a wardrobe anchor: the piece you reach for when you want clarity, polish, and confidence in one gesture.
