A beautiful example of mid-century Matisse jewellery, this sculptural hinged bangle showcases the bold colour and modernist design language that made the American maker so collectible during the 1950s and 1960s.
Crafted from copper with rich blue enamel panels, the bracelet combines warm metallic tones with vibrant abstract enamelling in shades of turquoise, cobalt and navy. Its architectural openwork design creates a striking silhouette whether worn alone or layered with finer bangles.
Designed with a hinged opening for ease of wear, this piece is best suited to a small wrist.
The copper plating shows gentle wear consistent with its age, adding to its vintage character. Please refer to the photographs for the condition, as this has been reflected in the price.
